Podcasts remain on top: ad spend and Gen Z content on the rise

The iVoox Observatory has published the results of its first annual Report on the State of Podcast Creation in Spanish , designed to measure the evolution of the podcasting industry . It is a study based on a survey of nearly 600 podcasters , data extracted from its platform and a global analysis of the trends in the sector.

What is the profile of a podcast creator in Spain?
This study explains that the Spanish podcast creator is email service forum mostly male (55%) , between 33 and 54 years old (63.69%), not only dedicated to podcasting, but also works in another sector (80.98%), has university studies (42.42%) and publishes from Spain (68.18%).

As for the areas of our country where most podcasts are recorded, in first place, we find the Spanish capital, Madrid , where 25.49% of podcasts are recorded . The second place is occupied by Catalonia with 18.14% and, finally, closing the top 3, Andalusia (14.95%).

As we mentioned, almost 81% of podcast creators work, which is why 58.69% of podcasters say they see the creation of this format as a hobby , although there are more and more people (30.89%) who believe they will be able to make a living from it in the future.
