Two years after the Charter of Digital Rights was presented at the Moncloa , created from the work carried out by the Advisory Group of Experts constituted by the Secretary of State for Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation, An international path has been opened that has turned said Charter into the origin of the Digital Rights Charter of the European Union (EU), of that other Ibero-American one and of the germ of a third in the United Nations.
Rodolfo Tesone, president emeritus of the National Association of ICT Legal Experts (ENATIC) and one of the members of that Working Group, emphasizes to Economist & Jurist that “in Spain we have led the defense of digital rights, placing ourselves at the forefront of technological humanism”.
Thus, he points out that, “we have had the first Charter of Whatsapp Database Digital Rights and thanks to the impulse of Carme Artigas , Secretary of State for Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence, both in the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development first, and in the European Union later online payday loans , the consolidation of that commitment has been achieved, which crystallized in December 2022 with the Declaration of Digital Rights and Principles of the European Union , and subsequently in the Ibero-American Charter of Principles and Rights in digital environments, signed in the Ibero-American Summit of the Dominican Republic in March 2023.”

This jurist has just returned from New York, where he participated in the 60th anniversary of the World Law Congress World Law Congress , organized by the World Jurist Association - the most relevant Association of jurists worldwide chaired by the Spanish Javier Cremades -, with the mission of presenting the Charter of Digital Rights together with Carme Artigas.
In this context, Tesone had the opportunity to maintain contact with the main leaders and leaders attending the Congress, such as His Majesty King Felipe VI of Spain , who he affirms “showed his sensitivity and his total support and willingness to defend the principles and values of said Charter at the international level.” Also present at this event along with the Spanish monarch were Ursula Von Der Leyen, president of the EU, and Justin Trudeau , Canadian prime minister, as well as other heads of state and other personalities.
